Born and raised in Trongsa (Central Bhutan), he completed his higher secondary education in the picturesque town of Paro, followed by college studies Kanglung College (Eastern Bhutan). However, it was Kinley's career as a journalist that truly ignited his passion for exploring Bhutan.
As a journalist, Kinley crisscrossed the length and breadth of Bhutan, uncovering its hidden treasures and experiencing the awe-inspiring natural beauty, profound tranquility, and the rich tapestry of living traditions that thrived within this small, mystical nation. It was a revelation that compelled him to share Bhutan's unique charm with the world.
